NEW DELHI: Aam Aadmi Party said that Aurobindo Pharma director Sarath Chandra Reddy, who was jailed after giving a statement that he did not know Arvind Kejriwal, was released after changing his statement and that he had given 55 crores to BJP through election bond.

Aam Aadmi Minister Atishi said in a press conference that he also paid Rs 4.5 crore during the implementation of the liquor policy. Atishi demanded the arrest of BJP president JP Nadda, claiming that it was BJP that took the bribe.

No evidence has been found from the Aam Aadmi Party regarding bribery. Of the electoral bonds bought by Aurobindo Pharma director Sarath Chandra Reddy between April 2021 and November 2023, 66 per cent went to the BJP. On November 9, 2022, Sarath Chandra Reddy, who was granted a liquor license for retail sale, had said that he had never met Kejriwal and had no financial dealings with the Aam Aadmi Party.

Party office sealed

There are indications that CBI will also arrest Kejriwal. The ED raided the Delhi residence of party MLA Gulab Singh Yadav and several locations in Hyderabad associated with arrested BRS leader K Kavita.
