NEW DELHI: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's order regarding water supply while in custody is being investigated by the Enforcement Directorate. ED will check whether the court order and legal provisions have been complied with.
Delhi Minister Atishi Marlane informed that Kejriwal had ordered to solve the water shortage in Delhi while he was in custody. The ED started the investigation when the BJP asked how a person in custody issued the order.
Kejriwal's wife Sunita and personal assistant Bibhav Kumar are allowed by the court to meet Kejriwal for half an hour every day between 6 and 7 pm. Advocates are also allowed to meet him for half an hour. ED is checking whether the order was prepared during this time. Any violation of orders will be reported to the court.
At the same time, the BJP pointed out that it is concerning that the order came from the Chief Minister's office in his absence. In his complaint to the Lieutenant Governor, BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa demanded an inquiry into whether the order was fake. CM is in ED custody. He needs the court's permission even to take outside food and medicine. Who contacted the Chief Minister in this situation? How did Minister Atishi get the order? The order has no number and no signature of an officer. Sirsa said the Aam Aadmi Party should answer the letter scam like the liquor scam.
Kejriwal's mobile is missing: ED
ED said that Kejriwal's phone with evidence of the Delhi liquor policy scam is missing. Kejriwal said that he does not know where the phone is. ED alleges that the phone was destroyed. ED says 171 devices, including this phone, containing critical documents are missing. Information on 17 phones is used in the case. They also said that the laptops and phones used during the implementation of the liquor policy were replaced.
