BENGALURU: The toll rate has been increased on the Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway, which Malayalis rely on to travel to Kerala. The revised rate will be effective from Monday, April 1. The toll for light motor vehicles including cars has been increased from Rs 165 to Rs 170.
A one-day round trip which was Rs 250 has been increased by Rs 5 to Rs 255. The monthly pass rate has been increased by Rs 140 from Rs 5,575 to Rs 5,715. With the increase in the toll, the ticket price of Kerala, Karnataka RTC and private buses may also increase. The Karnataka RTC had increased the ticket price by up to Rs.25 when the toll rate was increased twice earlier.
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has increased the toll rate for the third time on the 118-km stretch inaugurated in March 2023.
