THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Meteorological Department has warned that there is a possibility of rain in the state for the next four days. Rain is likely in four districts tomorrow. Rain warning has been issued in seven districts on April 2, nine districts on April 3 and four districts on April 4.
Light rain is likely in Thiruvananthapuram, Pathanamthitta, Ernakulam and Idukki districts tomorrow. On Tuesday, there is possibility of rain in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam and Idukki districts. On April 3, Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam and Ernakulam are likely to receive rain. There is a warning in Idukki, Kozhikode and Wayanad districts. Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam and Ernakulam districts on April 4. Possibility of rogue seas for the next two days is also predicted.
At the same time, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that fishermen and coastal residents should be cautious as the Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services has advised that there is a possibility of high waves on the Kerala coast. The chief minister's office has also advised that trips to the beach and activities at sea should be completely avoided.
