THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Other than through movies and novels, the word 'Satan Worship' became familiar to the Malayalis with the Nathencode murders. However, it is reported that satan worship has been pretty active in various parts of Kerala for the last few years.
In the wake of the Nanthencode murders, it was reported that satan worship was increasing in Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Kozhikode, Kottayam and Alappuzha. However, no serious investigations were carried out in this regard after the noise surrounding the case died down. Satan worship, which involved brutal occult practices, continued to take place in our state.
It is reported that satan worship is taking place mainly in isolated houses and flats in cities. It is shocking that many elite people in society are members of such groups. Educated youths are also members of the groups who believe that they can save themselves from their enemies and accumulate wealth through satan worship. Their methods are strange and terrifying.
Such satan worships, attended by foreigners, are often sponsored by drug mafias. Many people join such groups believing that they can gain supernatural power, gain wealth and eliminate enemies by worshipping satan. It is reported that the worshippers of Satan are performing shocking occult practices for this purpose. 13 is the favourite number of these people. According to reports, such occult practices are performed mostly on days which have the combination of the day Friday and the date 13th.
It is said that groups that recruit people for such satan worship are also functioning in the state. Worshippers of satan are also known as the Anti-Christ Movement. Those who engage in satan worship often end up resorting to heinous crimes. Satan worship often culminates in brutal occult practices and overt sexual intercourse.
