PALAKKAD: A Royal Enfield Bullet motorbike suffered massive damages after it was hit by a wild boar. The front portion of the bike was completely destroyed in the impact of the crash. The accident took place in Karimbuzha in Palakkad at around 7 am the other day.
The bike belonged to Muhammad Ashkar, a driver of Karimbuzha Panchayat. Ashkar was travelling on the bike when the wild boar came rushing from the Pombra side and knocked down the vehicle. The bike was thrown about a distance of fifty meters by the impact of the crash. Ashkar suffered minor injuries.
The other day, three persons sustained injuries after being attacked by a wild boar in the Kuzhalmannam region. The injured persons are Thenkurissi native Ratnakaran, wife Ramani and son Aipin Dev. The three were travelling on a motorbike when the wild boar attacked them. Following the accident, Ratnakaran suffered a fracture on his left arm. His son sustained minor injuries on his face and hand.
