THRISSUR: Padmaja Venugopal took to Facebook to respond to the attacks against her after leaving Congress. "When I left the Congress, I didn't speak ill of any leader of the Congress or talk about anyone in a cultureless manner. I, a woman, was insulted by the youth congress president to the cyber cadres," Padmaja said.
Padmaja also said that the BJP is her life and pride. She also stated that she would continue to raise her voice bravely for the party.
"When I left the Congress, I didn't speak ill of any leader of the Congress or talk about anyone in a cultureless manner... Yet how badly I was insulted by the President of the Youth Congress to the cyber ranks.
Now these people want Padmaja to not speak anymore. Or else, Padmaja will be finished. Don't raise that kind of threats against me. Because I am working in Bharatiya Janata Party with great pride, joy, confidence and courage.
It is only now that I know the love and sincerity of colleagues in a political party. BJP is my life. I will continue to raise voice for that party.
I don't turn off the comment box when I make political posts. Because I am not afraid of threatening comments and taunts. But if the threat of Congress' cyber activists is that they'll finish Padmaja if I don't stay silent. The perception of these people is that after seeing these comments, Padmaja will get scared. Padmaja doesn't mind your threats and taunts.
Today I am more proud, brave, satisfied, happy... because I am in Modiji's party. Narendra Modi's government has made a leap of development in our country. India stands brighter today among the countries of the world. There are insurance schemes to protect poor people, credit schemes, women protection schemes, national security, protection schemes in basic sectors, advancement in science and technology. Modi government has turned out to be a wonder.
Padmaja will continue to speak for her party. BJP is my pride, confidence, happiness and satisfaction. I am so proud and happy to join this party," Padmaja wrote in her Facebook post.
