THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: T G Nandakumar released more evidences on the allegations levelled against Pathanamthitta NDA candidate Anil Antony. Nandakumar alleged that in April 2013, during the UPA government, Anil accepted money from him saying that he would appoint his friend as the CBI Standing Consul in the Kerala High Court. Nandakumar released a picture claiming of receiving money from a hotel in Delhi. The proofs were released in a press conference convened by Nandakumar in Delhi.
Anil Antony had challenged broker Nandakumar to release evidence on his allegation of receiving bribe of Rs 25 lakh. Nandakumar released the pictures in a press conference soon after. Nandakumar also clarified that BJP's crowd puller leader received Rs 10 lakh and did not return it. Nandakumar, who said that Alappuzha NDA candidate Sobha Surendran received the money, also released the proof of depositing Rs 10 lakh in Sobha's account. He showed the pictures of the bank account details before the media. He also revealed that Sobha Surendran contacted him on the phone.
Meantime, Anil Antony came forward responding after Nandakumar's press meet. Anil said Nandakumar was lying. Anil said that it was an attempt by the Congress to disrupt his campaign and just a controversy before the elections. Have not accepted money from Nandakumar. He is lying and Congress is behind him, he said.
