THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The price of gold in the state surged by Rs 360 per one sovereign on Wednesday. Today's price of one sovereign gold is Rs 53,280. One gram of gold costs Rs 6,946. Last day, the price of one sovereign gold fell by Rs 1,120 to Rs 52,920. By the beginning of April, the price of one sovereign of gold had crossed Rs 50,000.
The highest price of gold was recorded in this month on April 19. The price of one pavan gold was Rs 54,520 on that day. The lowest rate was recorded on April 2- Rs 50,680. Meanwhile, the price of one gram of silver is Rs 89 and the price of one kilogram of silver is Rs 86,400.
As the value of US bonds rose, investors pulled money out of gold. With this, the price of gold in the international market is trading at 2,350 dollars per ounce. US bond prices are boosted by news that key interest rates in the United States will not be cut any time soon as the threat of inflation is strong.
