WAYANAD: A heated argument was witnessed between the BJP state chief and Wayanad NDA candidate K Surendran and the police. The BJP activists got agitated when the officials of the election commission flying squad and the police jointly removed the election boards put up in Mananthavady. The BJP activists later erected the boards in the city.

BJP Tamil Nadu state chief K Annamalai is coming to Wayanad today for the finale of the election campaign. The boards put up for it was removed. The activists last night put up boards welcoming Annamalai all over Mananthavady town. BJP workers had a verbal dispute with the election commission's flying squad officials and the police this morning on the places where the boards were put up. The officials later removed the boards.


K Surendran, who was in Mananthavady, reached the spot and engaged in an argument with the officials. The BJP workers then under the leadership of K Surendran took the boards from the police vehicle by force and placed them in their old places.


Annamalai's road show was held in the morning. The road show which starts from Erumapetty ends in Gandhi Park.
