KANNUR: CPM politburo member E P Jayarajan dismissed rumours about him jumping ship to BJP. Jayarajan boasted about his valour in fighting RSS at a young age and said he would not think about joining the saffron party. EP Jayarajan was responding to the statements made by KPCC President K Sudhakaran.

E P Jayarajan:

"Sudhakaran has earlier revealed about getting a BJP offer at the behest of a Chennai-based leader Raja. He also revealed about taking initial steps to conduct talks with Amit Shah in Kannur. This all points to his proclivity towards BJP; he will join the saffron party soon.

It seems that he did not take his usual medicine yesterday so the effect was visible during the morning. The two guys Sudhakaran assigned to shoot me down were RSS workers. He still keeps a grudge against me. The media should take a moral stand to ignore such baseless allegations. My lawyer will soon send a notice to Sudhakaran. And about Dalal Nandakumar, I simply don’t know who he is."

Earlier today, KPPC chief Sudhakaran made a bombshell revelation saying that EP Jayarajan held a covert meeting abroad with Rajeev Chandrashekar to join BJP. Sudhakaran also alleged that Shobha Surendran and Rajeev Chandrasekhar were at the helm of the secret talks that took place in Gulf.

Sudhakaran also said that Jayarajan was offered the role of Governor, but had to back out from the plan after receiving CPM threats.

“Jayarajan has been upset ever since MP Govindan became secretary. EP was supposed to be in that position and was left terribly disappointed” alleged Sudhakaran.
