sobha-surendran

ALAPPUZHA: Sobha Surendran, the NDA candidate in Alappuzha, has responded to the allegations raised by broker TG Nandakumar. Sobha Surendran asked whether Nandakumar was the CPM state secretary and not MV Govindan.

"It seems that Nandakumar has taken up the role of CPM state secretary. He has come up with a story to defeat me ahead of the elections. Nandakumar is trying to insult and mock me as a woman. The police should be ready to immediately arrest him. I have lodged a complaint with the DGP against Nandakumar along with evidence in the matter. I will stage a protest in front of the DGP's residence if the police do not take action on the complaint. I would not hesitate even to block the DGP on the way," Sobha said.

Earlier today, Nandakumar had levelled more allegations against Sobha Surendran. He said that he was told to sell the land that Sobha Surendran had illegally occupied and there was a problem with the land records. He also clarified that there is no information about this land in the information given to the Election Commission of India (ECI).

Nandakumar stated that he had sent several letters and asked Sobha to return the Rs 10 lakh paid as advance for the land, but she did not respond and he is now revealing everything because of this. "When I asked Sobha to return the money, she said that she would give it from the election fund. But I did not get even that," he said.
