KOCHI: Megastar Mammootty has cast his vote in the polling booth in Ponnurunni in Vyttila. The actor and his wife Sulfath arrived at the polling booth in the afternoon. A huge crowd had gathered at the booth to catch a glimpse of Mammootty. LDF candidate KJ Shine was seen talking to the actor on the premises of the polling booth.

The actor, who drove his own car to the polling booth, spent only five minutes at the booth. He refused to talk to the media after voting. Mammootty's look also gained a lot of attention. He was spotted sporting an olive green shirt, a white mundu and cooling glass.

Despite the crammed work schedule, many film personalities arrived at polling booths in their respective constituencies to cast votes. Film star and Election Commission's SVEEP (Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation) program Kerala brand ambassador Tovino Thomas voted at Irinjalakuda Girls School. Actor Fahad Fazil came to vote at the polling booth near the District Collector's residence in Alappuzha. Fahad came directly from Kochi to exercise his voting rights. He was accompanied by his father and veteran director Fazil. Nazriya, wife of Fahad Fazil will vote from Ernakulam.
