THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The polling percentage has crossed 60 as the general election polling time come to a close in the state. 64.73 percent polling was recorded till 5.15 pm. Polling will certainly cross 70 in Kannur, which recorded the highest polling. Ponnani has recorded the lowest polling percentage- 60.09.

This time seven people collapsed and died on the polling day. Three people died in Palakkad district alone. There were many complaints of bogus votes. There were 12 complaints across the state. Seven of these are in Pathanamthitta.
