IDUKKI: Polling officials caught a person who came to vote twice. A double vote was caught in Koombapara, Idukki. The officials stopped him when they noticed the ink on his finger when he came to vote at the 16th booth.

It is reported that he came to vote in Idukki today after casting his vote in Tamil Nadu on the 19th. However, the inkmark made on his finger while voting had not disappeared completely and hence the officials caught him red-handed. Meanwhile, no action has been taken against him.

Similarly, officials had caught a lady who came to vote in Idukki today morning after casting her vote in Tamil Nadu. The officers arrested the woman who came to booth number 57 of Chemmannar St. Xavier's Higher Secondary School.

Meanwhile, when polling time ended in the state general elections, the voting percentage was 69.04. Kannur recorded the highest turnout with polling crossing 70 percent. 73.64 percent polling was recorded in Kannur. Pathanamthitta has the lowest polling at 63.84.
