KOTTAYAM: Headmistress of a government school died in a paragliding accident. Rani Mathew, headmistress of Cheeranchira government UP School, Kottayam, died. The incident happened in Thailand. Rani has been undergoing treatment for the past few days after being injured in the accident. The relatives informed that the body will be brought home after Monday.
Meanwhile, three Indian women died in an accident in Greenville County, South Carolina, US. The deceased have been identified as Rekhaben Patel, Sangitaben Patel and Manishaben Patel, natives of Anand district in Gujarat. The SUV they were travelling in had an accident. One person was seriously injured. Officials said the cause of the accident was excessive speed and there was no collision with other vehicles. The wrecked car was found collided with a tree. The South Carolina Highway Patrol, Gantt Fire Department and Greenvalley EMS units led the rescue effort.
