THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: E P Jayarajan reiterated his previous stand on that he had not met or spoken to Sobha Surendran. The LDF convenor made his stand clear when he reached the capital city to partake in the CPM state secretariat meet starting today.
‘Will anyone go and join the BJP? I have not been to the hotel she is talking about. Media workers should investigate what she said. What happened with BJP Kerala Prabhari Prakash Javadekar was not a political discussion. It is not necessary to inform the party,’ said Jayarajan.
However, BJP leader Sobha Surendran had earlier said that EP Jayarajan came to Delhi to join the BJP and that he got tensed when he received a phone call the day before joining. Sobha said that he withdrew from the decision when the phone call came and that she does not know who called. Sobha had alleged that he shared the pain of M V Govindan, a junior in the party, becoming the state secretary and that the conversation was recorded by the controversial middleman Nandakumar.
However, Nandakumar's response is that Sobha Surendran and EP Jayarajan have never seen each other like this. Nandakumar clarified to a media that the meeting with Javadekar at EP's son's flat was true, but Sobha Surendran has no role in it.
