KOZHIKODE: The Nava Kerala bus used by ministers when the state government conducted Nava Kerala Sadas, will henceforth become the Garuda Premium Class. The bus service will be run from Kozhikode to Bengaluru. The service is scheduled to depart Kozhikode at 04:00 in the morning and reach Bengaluru at 11:35 via Kalpetta, Sultan Bathery, Gundlupete, Mysore and Mandya and return from Bengaluru at 2:30 in the afternoon and reach Kozhikode at 10:05 at night via the same route.
The bus stops at Kozhikode, Kalpatta, Sultan Bathery, Mysuru and Bengaluru (Satellite and Shantinagar) and has online reservation facility. The ticket price for the service is Rs 1171 inclusive of cess. The 5% luxury tax for AC buses is also payable. The bus will leave Thiruvananthapuram for Kozhikode as a service on Wednesday at 6:30 pm. KSRTC informed that people can travel by purchasing tickets on this trip.
The modern air-conditioned bus has 26 push-back seats. For the differently abled and senior citizens who are unable to use footboards to board the bus, there is a specially designed passenger-operated hydraulic lift. Also, facilities like a toilet and a wash basin are provided for passengers. The bus has a television, music system and mobile charger system. The bus is equipped with luggage storage space for passengers.
