THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: New allegations have surfaced against Mayor Arya Rajendran and her husband, MLA Sachin Dev. A former security employee of a private firm in Thiruvananthapuram alleges that Arya Rajendran and Sachin got him fired for refusing to park their vehicle in a no-parking area. Chandrababu, a native of Thiruvananthapuram has come forward against the Mayor and the MLA.
When the mayor arrived at the building at Vazhuthakkad where the passport office was located, she asked to allow her vehicle inside. Normally, only foreign vehicles are permitted to enter upon instructions from the caretaker. Mayor and Sachin Dev were displeased that they had to move the vehicle to the parking lot themselves. The mayor inquired if he was unaware of the protocol. In response, he questioned why he, as a regular security staff member, needed to adhere to the protocol. Subsequently, the driver of the vehicle drove it inside. Later, Sachin Dev returned and warned that there would be consequences for his actions.
Shortly after, the mayor created a commotion and lodged a complaint with the passport officer. The matter was then escalated to the in-charge. Chandrababu claims that he was terminated within ten minutes. He made his statement to an online channel named News Hunt.
