KOZHIKODE: After receiving a copy of the investigation report from the ACP regarding the complaint filed against Dr. KV Preethi, the woman who was molested in the medical college ended her strike. North Region IG K. Sethuraman instructed the City Police Commissioner to submit the report the previous day. Following the IG's instructions, the survivor ended her protest in front of the commissioner's office, which had lasted for 12 days, yesterday afternoon. Although the strike ended at noon, the survivor received the investigation report at 5 pm.

She was molested while undergoing treatment at the Medical College hospital on March 18, 2023. In her complaint to the police, she alleged that many of her statements were inaccurately recorded, scientific evidence was not collected and Dr. KV Preetha was attempting to sabotage the case. Medical College ACP K. Sudarshan stated in his report to the Commissioner that the complaint was baseless. After not receiving a copy of this report despite requesting it under the Right to Information Act, the survivor went on strike.
