THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The court on Saturday accepted KSRTC driver Yadhu's petition against Mayor Arya Rajendran and MLA Sachin Dev over the incident in Palayam. The case will be heard in the Magistrate Court on the 6th of this month. Yadhu had to approach the court after the police did not acknowledge his earlier complaint.
In the petition, Yadhu mentioned Mayor Arya for disrupting his work, while MLA Sachin’s name was pointed out for barging into the bus and hurling threats.
Yadhu while interacting with the press pointed fingers at the conductor, who was on duty during the day of the incident.
Yadhu:
He is a DYFI worker. Although I don’t want my fellow collogues to be dragged into this, it is a fact that the conductor gave the wrong statement to the police. He may have been under pressure from party workers. The conductor was seated on the front when the incident took place. But to the police, he mentioned that he was at the back and didn’t see the ruckus unfold.
When the MLA boarded the bus, the conductor stood up and gave him the seat. I have my doubts about the conductor for the strange missing of the memory card of the CCTV in the bus. It is doubtful whether the conductor and the MLA conspired.
