DUBAI: 16 construction workers in Dubai got lucky on International Workers' Day, forsaking their work attire to spend a day living like millionaires. They dressed in coats and suits, traveled in luxury cars, and enjoyed cruising on yachts in Dubai's marinas. They were accommodated in the city's largest five-star hotels and treated to fine dining. The opportunity was provided by World Star Holding as a reward for their exceptional performance, accompanied by the Golden Achievement Award.
Ramdayal, an Indian expatriate among the lucky 16, expressed his delight, noting his surprise at being a guest in a five-star hotel after eight years of dedicated service in the company. Dressed in custom blue suits, they embarked on their luxurious journey in vehicles ranging from Ferraris to Bentleys, exploring Dubai's landmarks before heading to the marina for a yacht excursion and then to their lavish hotel for their stay.
This gesture wasn't the first of its kind from the company; previous Labor Day celebrations also saw employees receiving awards and special gifts. Top performers were even treated to all-expenses-paid trips to destinations like Georgia. Starting this year, the company plans to focus on meeting the educational needs of employees' children, demonstrating a commitment to their well-being beyond the workplace.
