THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Huge fire in Thiruvananthapuram. The incident happened at Ammanoorkonam in Naruvamoodu, Thiruvananthapuram. The fire broke out in a wood mill. The mill is owned by Ammanurkonam Vijayan. The incident happened around 4 pm.

The preliminary conclusion is that there was a loss of one and a half crore rupees in the fire. Six units of the fire brigade reached the spot and efforts are on to douse the fire. Firefighters arrived from Thiruvananthapuram, Kattakkada and Neyyattinkara. There are many houses near the mill. Officials informed that the efforts to bring the fire under control are continuing. A major disaster was averted because there were no workers in the mill.
