THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The weather forecast says that summer rains will be active from Thursday to cool off the scorching heat. Temperatures have dropped by three degrees from last week, bringing some relief. Rains will intensify in Kerala as the Cyclonic Circulation formed over Telangana moves towards Karnataka. The rain will reduce after four days and become normal. 64.5 mm to 115 mm of rain will be received during this time. The rains will begin in the central and northern districts and then spread to the southern districts. A yellow alert has been announced in Ernakulam district on Wednesday and Wayanad on Thursday. Severe thunderstorms are also possible.
Palakkad, where the temperature went up to 41.8 degrees, recorded a temperature of 38 degrees last day. The temperature in Thrissur, which reached 40 degrees, dropped to 36.6 degrees. The temperature has dropped by up to two degrees in other districts.

Kallakadal to happen today
Swell surge aka Kallakkadal phenomenon formed by strong winds in the Indian Ocean will continue on the Kerala coast today. Due to this, extreme waves of up to 1.5 meters will be formed on the south coast, Kanyakumari, Thoothukudi and south Tamil Nadu coast. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Research Center said that this will lead to a strong sea attack. Orange alert will continue in these places today. Fishing is not allowed.
Houses destroyed in sea attack
Yesterday, three houses partially collapsed in Poonthura, Thiruvananthapuram due to sea attack. Three families were relocated in Thrikkunnapuzha, Alappuzha. The sea also washed ashore at Chantakadappuram in Eriyad Panchayat in Kodungallur Taluk, Arappakadav, Puthiya Road and Perinjanam Beach in Edavilangu panchayat. Five houses were flooded. 50 people are staying in the camp in Alappuzha, Thiruvananthapuram and Thrissur districts.
