KASARGOD: A man and his two sons were killed after an ambulance and a car collided at Kunjathur in Manjeswaram. The dead have been identified as Sivakumar (54) of Irinjalakuda in Thrissur and his sons Sarath (23) and Saurav (15). They were passengers of the car and the three died on the spot itself. The ambulance going to Manguluru from Kasargod collided with the car proceeding to Kasargod. The bodies were taken out from the car after breaking open the doors.

Usha, a patient who was in the ambulance, Sivadas accompanying her and the ambulance driver sustained injuries. They have been admitted at a private hospital in Mangaluru. The car has been completely damaged in the collision.

Meantime, a youth died after a bike hit a car in Kazhakoottam elevated highway the other day. The dead was Muhammed Sanu (28), son of Saji of Pangappara AKG Nagar S N Manzil and Noorjahan, nursing assistant of Pangappara Health Centre. The incident happened near the Mahadevar Temple in Kazhakoottam last night at 7 pm. The bike losing control hit the back of the car. The two vehicles met with the accident while going towards Chakkai from Vettu Road area. Sanu, who sustained serious head injuries died on the spot itself. The body was taken to the medical college hospital after Kazhakoottam police reached the spot.
