PATHANAMTHITTA: A drunkard dragged a pulled a woman down from her scooter. The incident happened in Thiruvalla. The 25-year-old woman subjected to the attack has been admitted to the hospital. Jojo of Thiruvalla has been taken into custody.

The incident happened this afternoon. Jojo, who came to the police station in an inebriated condition, created a ruckus there. The police then seized his vehicle and asked him to leave from the station. Jojo, who ran from the station reached Thiruvalla city and pulled the woman down from her scooter. Unconfirmed reports said that he later attacked her.

A witness said that he stopped the woman and then took the key from the scooter and when she went to get it back, he twisted her hand and following that she fell down. The locals and the police later took her to the hospital.

Meanwhile, Jojo was attacked by the woman’s relatives. They manhandled him in the station. He was beaten and abused by people including women. The procedures for recording his arrest has been initiated.
