THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP state president K. Surendran claimed that for the first time in history, BJP will open its account in the Lok Sabha elections this time. When the election results come out on June 4 and several Congress leaders will loose their footing. He said that Shashi Tharoor of Congress will lose in Thiruvananthapuram and NDA candidate Rajeev Chandrasekhar will win. Surendran's response was in a press conference held after the state core committee meeting.

Surendran said that there is good hope for victory in Kerala this time, and the reports received from the booth level indicate that BJP will win the expected seats. At the same time, Surendran denied the reports that Krishna Das's side had boycotted the core committee meeting. He asked if they had told anyone that they had boycotted the meeting. BJP Kerala Prabhari Prakash Javadekar, who attended the press conference, also gave an explanation in this regard.
