NEW DELHI: BJP is facing a huge setback in Haryana on the day of the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections. The BJP government is in crisis after three independent MLAs withdrew their support. With this, the government's strength has reduced to 42 in the 90-member assembly. The government remains in power with the support of the JJP rebels.
Independents who have withdrawn their support have also announced their support to the Congress. With this, the number of supporters of Congress has increased to 34. The government lost its majority as independents withdrew their support. There are reports that if the support of the MLAs is not secured, the government may lose its rule.
Meanwhile, Congress noted on X that the wave has become clear even before the results are announced. Congress made it clear that the government was not entitled to continue in power after losing the support of the independents. Congress welcomed independent MLAs. Congress state president Uday Bhan demanded that the people of Haryana teach the BJP government a lesson and introduce President's rule in the state.
