KANNUR: The complete actor Mohanlal on Wednesday paid darshan at Irikkur Mamanikkunnu Mahadevi Temple. Mohanlal, who arrived in Kannur for various events, visited the famous Mamanikkunnu temple at 6 am yesterday.

Mohanlal received a rousing welcome from the temple executive officer, office-bearers, staff and a team of locals. Melshanthi Chandran Moose gave special Pooja offerings to the actor. The star actor even enquired about the legends circling the temple and the special rituals conducted here.

Mohanlal after performing special offerings to ward off evil spirits left the temple. This ritual is one of the highlights of Irikkur Mamanikkunnu Mahadevi Temple, also known as “Parashakthi”; the destroyer of all evils.
