THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Motor Vehicle Department has received instructions to go ahead with the revised driving test. The driving test is to be conducted from Friday. The applicants who have been allotted the date for the test have been advised to arrive from tomorrow with their own vehicles.

It has also been decided to use the land of KSRTC for the driving test from tomorrow. RTOs have been instructed to ensure police protection in view of the possibility of protests. The decision was taken at a high-level meeting of the Motor Vehicle Department. As per the revised circular, the officials have been directed to conduct the driving test with a maximum of 40 participants.

Minister KB Ganesh Kumar said that the government is implementing the reforms to ensure that the driving tests are carried out flawlessly.

"Those concerned should desist from trying to obstruct the driving test. Everyone should be ready to respect the High Court order," he said.
