AMARAVATI: A case has been registered against Telugu superstar Allu Arjun and YSRCP MLA Ravi Chandra Kishore Reddy for poll code violation in Nandyal, Andhra. A case was registered for holding a public meeting at the MLA's residence on Saturday in violation of the Election Code of Conduct. The FIR also states that the MLA invited the actor to his residence without obtaining prior permission to hold a public meeting. Andhra Pradesh Lok Sabha polls will be held on Monday.

Nandyal Deputy Tehsildar P Ramachandra Rao registered the case against the actor and MLA. He is the officer in charge of election in Nandyal constituency.

Meanwhile, Allu Arjun said he came to the meeting on his own will and denied having allegiance to any political party. A huge crowd thronged the residence of the MLA after news about the superstar arriving spread across the city.

“If friends need my help, I will help them in whatever field they are working. It does not mean that I am supporting any political party”- the actor clarified to the media.
