THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Two more people were arrested in the murder of a youth that shocked the capital city some days back. Arun Babu and Abhilash were arrested on Monday. Police said the conspiracy to kill was hatched at Arun's house. The murder took place on the 26th.
On the day of voting in Kerala, the murdered youth Akhil and his friend Vishal had a face-off with the accused inside a bar in Nemom. The accused questioned Akhil’s singing inside the bar which paved the way for the bigger feud. One among the accused Vineeth, suffered a head injury in the melee.
Despite the incident, the accused didn’t complain to police. Kiran Krishna, who was also in the gang vowed to retaliate and shouted expletives at Akhil before leaving the bar.
Right from that day, the gang started collecting more information about Akhil and his gang. One of the accused, Anish, hired the car. Akhil was finally attacked near his house. The investigation team found four persons directly involved in the incident and four were involved in the conspiracy. The court remanded all eight accused. Those arrested are also the accused in the 2019 Karamana Ananthu murder case.
