THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: MG University has been ranked third in the country in the Times Higher Education's Asia University Ranking. The Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore and Anna University in Tamil Nadu are in the first and second positions, respectively. Within the top 150 ranks, five Indian universities including MG University are listed with MG being the sole representative from Kerala.

China's Tsinghua University and Peking University have maintained their first and second positions for the fifth consecutive year in the Asian rankings. MG University is placed at the 134th position. The ranking is determined by 18 indices encompassing teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook among others. The list comprises 739 global universities.

MG University has earned an A++ grade in the National Accreditation (NAC) grading. The achievement of this high rank is attributed to advancements in study, research, entrepreneurship development and collaborations with foreign universities and industrial organizations.
