THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: There is a considerable increase in applications for admission to Plus One this year in Kerala. Compared to 4,59,330 applicants last year, the applications has risen to 4,65,960 people this year, a surge of 6,630. Meanwhile, applicants from CBSE have decreased. It has gone from 25,421 applicants in 2023 to 23,669 this year. This year 59,857 students passed the Class 10 exams in CBSE. Of the increased total applicants for Plus One admission, 5,509 are from Malappuram. The district also has the highest number of applicants-82,434. Applicants have reduced in Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha and Kottayam districts.
