ALUVA: Renowned film playback singer Harishree Jayaraj (54) passed away on Tuesday. Jayaraj was taken to Ashokapuram Carmel Hospital on Tuesday morning after he complained of chest pain. However, his life could not be saved.
Harishree Jayaraj has been working in the music industry for three decades. He made his debut as a film playback singer by singing the song 'Thappum Thakiladi' in the movie 'Kudumbashree Travels'. He has sung songs for over 100 dubbed films. He also worked in troupes like Kalabhavan and Harishree. He had received the JC Daniel Foundation Award. The funeral took place at UC College NSS crematorium yesterday evening.
Jayaraj is the son of Ashokapuram native Radhakrishna Panicker and Nalini. Wife: Rashmi, daughter: Meenakshi.
