WAYANAD: Police have arrested two youths for allegedly abusing a minor girl. The arrested has been identified as Rohit Mon (21) of Malavedan Colony in Panachikkad and Sakthivel (20) of Aby Villa in Kanjikuzhi's Muttambalam, natives of Kottayam.

The victim of abuse was a girl whom they met through Instagram. The incident related to the case took place on May 18.

Rohit Mon met the minor through Instagram and later kidnapped the girl and sexually assaulted her. Shaktivel was arrested for abetting this. Both were produced in court and remanded.

A case has been registered by Sultan Bathery Police against the accused under sections of POCSO Act and kidnapping.
