BENGALURU: DK Sivakumar stands firm on his remark that an animal sacrifice took place in a temple in Kerala to bring down the Congress government in Karnataka. "Time will tell who did the pooja. There are people to bless me. Their prayers are with me," Shivakumar responded.
Minister K Radhakrishnan responded that the allegation made by DK Sivakumar is not possible. This is something that can never happen in Kerala. The Minister informed through a press release that he will investigate whether anything like this happened.
Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has alleged that a Sathru Samhara Yagam was organized by political opponents to bring down the Karnataka government and put him and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in trouble. He said that 21 red goats, 21 black goats, three buffaloes and five pigs were sacrificed as part of the Yagam in a vacant lot near a temple in Kerala. Shivakumar had told the media that he knows very well who did this and that it does not affect him as he believes in God.
When asked whether leaders from BJP or JDS were behind the Yagam, the answer was that politicians from Karnataka were responsible. "I know who is doing this Yagam. Let them continue their efforts, I am not worried. I leave it to their belief system. Despite their efforts and trials to cause harm, I believe in the power that will protect me," he said. He also advised the media that instead of forcing the name of those who performed the yagya to be revealed, their names should be sought and brought out.
