CHENNAI: Exit polls of Saturday left the BJP workers in glee whereas INDIA alliance workers kept high hopes amidst the dismayal. Earlier, congress decided to disassociate from any debates on exit polls as they called it 'doctored and not veracious'. Amidst this discord comes another exit poll result favouring the grand old party to come back to the helm of power in the Lok Sabha 2024 elections.

The exit poll results predicted a setback for NDA while the INDIA alliance is purported to win at least 292 seats, thereby securing power by a close margin. The Deshbandhu Exit Poll working in tandem with the Electline of India agency said that the NDA can win 207-241 seats while the INDIA alliance will see numbers between 255-290 seats.

In terms of states, it is predicted that the NDA will win 46-48 seats in Uttar Pradesh while the Samajwadi Party and the Congress are set to win 32-34 seats. In Maharashtra, the INDIA alliance may get 28-30 seats and NDA 18-20 seats.

In the case of Karnataka, the Congress is predicted to win 18-20 seats and the BJP-JD(S) alliance 8-10 seats. In Bihar, NDA is predicted to get 14-16 seats while INDIA alliance is predicted to get 24-26 seats. In Madhya Pradesh, BJP is expected to win 24-26 seats while Congress may get 3-5 seats.

Exit polls also predict that Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress will sweep West Bengal. The party is expected to win 26-28 seats while the BJP is expected to get 11-13 seats. In Rajasthan, the survey predicts that the BJP will win 17-19 seats and the India Alliance 6-8 seats.

Congress leader Luv Dutta has shared the exit poll results on X. "These are the exact numbers you will all see on June 4th. This exit Poll will be true. The leader has shared the exit poll result with the caption 'India will form the coalition government on June 4.'

Apart from this survey, all other major surveys predict a clear majority for the BJP. In 2019, NDA won 303 seats. Leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi claim that the saffron party will surpass 400 seats this time.
