Suresh Gopi, who won BJP's first even Lok Sabha seat in Kerala, is sure to become a minister. It is likely that he will get cabinet rank. It is indicated that the allies of BJP have claimed the portfolios of home, finance, roads and railways. Home, defense and finance departments will stay with the BJP.

Chandra Babu Naidu is seeking cabinet rank in road transport, rural development, education, health, housing and urban affairs, agriculture, hydropower, IT and telecom and minister of state in finance.

Amit Shah may continue as Home Minister. Rajnath Singh, Nirmala Sitharaman, Nitin Gadkari, S Jaishankar, Ashwini Vaishnaw, Piyush Goyal, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Kiran Rijiju, Dharmendra Pradhan, Jitendra Singh, Bhupendra Yadav, Hardeep Singh Puri, Jyotiraditya Scindia and others may continue. LJP leader Chirag Paswan and HAM leader Jitan Ram Manjhi will also likely become ministers.
