SRINAGAR: Ten people were killed when terrorists opened fire on a bus carrying pilgrims in Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi. Those who were on the bus were natives of Uttar Pradesh. Not all of them have been identified. Four of them died of gunshot wounds. This includes the bus driver also. Army Security forces comprising CRPF and police started searching for the terrorists at the spot.
The news of the terror attack emerged shortly after the third Modi government took office on Sunday evening. 33 passengers were injured in the attack. Reasi Senior Superintendent Mohit Sharma informed us that the people on the bus were brought out. When the bus was fired upon continuously, the driver lost control of the bus and fell into a ravine. Even after this, the terrorists continued to attack.
The natives of UP had come to visit the Shiv Khori temple. A native of Delhi who was an eyewitness to the incident disclosed the information that the terrorists continued to attack even after the bus accident.
Jammu and Kashmir Lt. Govt. Governor Manoj Sinha informed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inquired into the terror attack and suggested appropriate action. He also informed that he contacted the families of the victims and offered all help.
