THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: NSS General Secretary G Sukumaran Nair criticized the chief minister for his remarks against the former head of the Niranam diocese of Jacobite Syriac Orthodox Church Dr Geevarghese Mor Coorilos Metropolitan.
Sukumaran Nair's response was that would hear all this if goes to lick his feet unnecessarily. He also said that Coorilos was close to the chief minister. Nair also said that his organization had not mediated for a ministerial post for Suresh Gopi and that they have no politics.
'I am happy for Kerala getting two union ministers. If the Kerala government is not doing anything again for the betterment of the people after learning from the Centre's experience, then they will have to experience this,’ he said.
After the defeat of the LDF in the Lok Sabha elections, Dr Geevarghese said the government cannot always depend on food kits to get the people's mandate. The chief minister’s reply to it was that there are empty-headed people among the priests too. Soon after the chief minister’s reply, many political leaders including the opposition leader came forward against Pinarayi Vijayan.
