Mamta Mohandas is an actress who became popular among the Malayali audience through the film 'Mayookham'. The actress is now awaiting the release of her latest Tamil film 'Maharaja' in which she acted alongside Vijay Sethupathi. The film, directed by Nithilan, also has Anurag Kashyap and Abhirami playing pivotal roles. Mamta, who survived cancer, had recently revealed that she was suffering from a skin disease called Vitiligo.

In a recent interview given to the Hindustan Times, the actress revealed that she is dating someone.

"I'm dating someone. It's going on well. I'm happy where I am right now. Let's see what life has in store for us and where it will take us," Mamta said.

The actress, however, did not reveal the name of the person that she is dating.

Mamta also opened up about a previous love failure. "I met someone in Los Angeles. However, it was a long distance relationship and didn't work out for whatever reason. Although the relationship is important for me, I don't want any extra stress because of that. You can give it a first, second and third chance. But anything beyond that is stressful. I don't think I really need it," Mamta said.

Mamta also said that she is happy with the international recognition that Malayalam cinema is getting in the last few years.

"I'm happy that not just one person but the entire industry is getting recognition. Several films which have just gone by without being watched and appreciated in the past are now being watched. People are just dusting their CD players and watching all these old films. As an actress, the recognition given by the Malayalam audience makes you feel that you are a good actress. I feel very lucky to be a part of Malayalam cinema," she added.
