DUBAI: The UAE authorities have warned citizens in the wake of the rising theft cases in the Gulf countries. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Emirati travellers who have visited countries such as Spain, Georgia, Italy, the UK, France and Austria have been victims of theft. The authorities thus warned citizens to be more cautious while visiting the above countries.

Travel guidelines for all destinations must be followed. The UAE also advised all citizens to register for the ‘Twajudi’ service. This is not the first time UAE has issued such directives to its citizens. Earlier, when tensions broke out in some countries, the Ministry of External Affairs had given special instructions asking their citizens to avoid foreign visits. The Ministry of External Affairs has issued a directive keeping in mind the security of its citizens.
