KOZHIKODE: The electricity connection disconnected at Razack's house, following an alleged attack at the KSEB section office in Thiruvambadi, has been restored. The KSEB officials restored the connection after its officials and Razack held talks with Thamarassery tehsildar on the instructions of the collector. The electricity connection was restored at around 8:30 pm on Sunday. Subsequently, Razack told the media that his fight turn out to be successful.
KSEB had disconnected the power to Razack's house due to failure to pay electricity bills. After this, Razack's son and Youth Congress leader Ajmal went to Thiruvambadi KSEB section office and resorted to violence. According to the complaint filed by KSEB, materials, including meters and files, were destroyed. The incident took place on Saturday at 8:30 am. Ajmal and his brother Shahdad were detained by the staff and handed over to the police.
Meanwhile, KSEB chairman Biju Prabhakar had earlier informed that electricity to Razack's house would be restored if he got an assurance that they would not attack the employees or the office again. The statement was released through KSEB's official Facebook post. The chairman explained that there are 11 electricity connections in the name of the attacker's father and that he often used verbal arguments and threats with the officials who came to disconnect the electricity bill after defaulting in bill payments. The chairman had clarified that he would proceed with legal action and recover the entire damages caused to KSEB from them.
