ALANALLOOR: The body of a person who went missing four days ago, after being swept away by Velliyar river, was found. The deceased Yusuf (55), of Pulikkal Veedu, went missing after going to bathe in a canal near his house. On Saturday night, the youths who were fishing near the Ucharakadav Bridge in the Velliyar river saw him in the river and tried to rescue him, but could not do so due to the strong current.

Based on the information provided by the locals, the body was found under the Melattoor bridge yesterday evening at around 4.30 pm during a four-day search led by the fire and rescue team, trauma care and civil defense and the locals. The body was shifted to Manjeri Medical College.
