'Aadujeevitham', directed by Blessy, is one of the best Indian movies that hit the theatres this year. The film, which is regarded as Prithviraj's greatest-ever performance, hit the theatres on March 28. The film collected more than 160 crores at the box office. Now, Blessy has revealed that if it was not for actor Mammootty, 'Aadujeevitham' would not have happened.
'Aadujeevitham would not have happened without Mammookka's support. I can do a film like Aadujeevitham only after writing a proper screenplay. It was Mammookka who first gave me the confidence to write the screenplay for Kazhcha. That confidence helped me to write Thanmathra, Bhramaram and Aadujeevitham," Blessy said in an interview given to a YouTube channel.
"After finishing the first half of Kazcha's screenplay, I gave it to Mammookka to read. Later, when I asked him his opinion about the script, he replied that he had not read it. After some time, he told me that he stopped reading it after completing two or three scenes from it. 'I felt very happy on reading two or three scenes. I did not bother to read the rest as I understood that you have written very well,' Mammookka told me. Those words gave me great self-confidence. The script of Thanmathra is even more complicated than Kazhcha. I was able to write Thanmathra just because I wrote Kazcha," Blessy said.
