The duo of Sandeep Singh/Elavenil Valarivan came 12th and Arjun Babuta/Ramita Jindal came 6th. Only the top four will advance to the final round. Arjun Babuta/Ramita Jindal scored 628.7 points and Sandeep Singh/Elavenil Valarivan scored 626.3 points.
India's Balraj Panwar finished fourth in the rowing men's singles sculls heats. With that, the player advanced to the repechage round. The top three finishers in the heats advance to the quarterfinals. Sarabjot Singh and Arjun Cheema are competing in the men's 10m air pistol category and Manu Bhaker and Rhythm Sangwan in the women's category.
