SHIRUR: Ishwar Malpe, the diving expert with the know-how of the river bodies of Shirur, has called off the search operation for missing Truck driver Arjun. With this, it is more or less certain that the Karnataka administration is slowly wriggling out and is likely to end the search operation completely.

Despite going into the dangerous depths of the Gangavali river on the 13th day, Ishwar Malpe and his team failed to find debris from the missing truck or the driver. He went down to the river three times today and inspected it despite the strong current and inclement weather.

"There are large rocks, muds and strangely we found one big banyan tree in the depths of the river", Malpe said that it was one of the most difficult missions he had ever conducted.
