Minister Mohammed Riyas had said that it was unfortunate that the search was temporarily suspended. The minister said that the search was terminated without informing the Kerala government officially.
"We have talked about everything related to Arjun's rescue operation since the beginning. District Collector was called and position was conveyed. Search was conducted last day despite bad weather. It was learned that the weather is a little better today. It is unfortunate. The information that the search has been stopped has not been officially communicated. The decision was taken without consultation. The rescue mission was temporarily suspended without examining further possibilities. The Kerala Chief Minister had sent a letter to the Center to examine further possibilities," Minister Mohammed Riyas had responded earlier. The minister said that the Kerala government is providing all the assistance required by the constitution.
