THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state government has sanctioned Rs 4 crore from the State Disaster Response Fund for the dependents of those who died in the landslides in Mundakkai, Chooralmala and Attamala areas of Wayanad. The amount will be handed over to the Wayanad District Collector. After preparing a list following specific criteria, the Collector will determine and disburse the amount to be awarded to each family.

Meanwhile, the number of people killed in the Wayanad landslides has increased to 354. This includes 30 children. 206 people are still missing and five bodies were recovered yesterday.
